Summertime Fun

It has been a while since I have updated the blog and it was hard to decide which photos to include. We have had a great summer so far, Gabe and Maya are on the move constantly and are doing and saying new things everyday. I feel so lucky to be able to see them change and grow each day.

Birthday Party #2

Maya and Gabe got to enjoy two birthday parties to celebrate their first year of life. We had friends over to enjoy a beautiful day (we lucked out!) at our house in the middle of May.

We Have A Walker!

I was trying to get a bit of video of Gabe and Maya looking like little engineers examining their play mat's lights, but instead caught something very unexpected!

We Have Another Crawler!

Maya has been very reluctant to crawl - she prefers to pull herself up and cruise or roll to get where she needs to go. Or, even better, have mama, Grammy, or Grandma carry her to where she needs to go ;-) There have been a few times that I have been doing something with Gabe and have my back to Maya and when I turn around, she is pretty far from where she started. I got suspicious and told Matt that I thought Maya was literally crawling behind my back. Matt tried to lure her with his glasses since it worked so well with Gabe, but she still wasn't into it.

On Friday I came home from the dentist and Maya didn't see me come into the room and I caught her red-handed! I grabbed the camera and prayed that she would perform so I could catch it and she made me proud!

Babies' First Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving down in New Jersey with Matt's family. Gabe and Maya got to meet all of Matt's cousins and their great Aunt Luann and Uncle Joe. As always, they loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Mike, and big cousin Peyton.
